how does bike chain tension affect my choir breathing technique?
noticed my chain was a bit slack this morning rn... i was on the bike, then went to rehearsal, and the loose tension kinda mirrored my breath support when the chain is too loose, the drivetrain feels unstable, like my voice when i don't engage proper diaphragmatic support the chain tension is a physical metaphor for vocal fold adduction? lol just a random thought, but if my bike is tuned right, my tone feels steadier anyone else felt a weird sync between bike maintenance and choir warm‑ups??
help with bike chain slipping
so i was out on a ride yesterday and my chain kept slipping... i've checked the tension and it feels about right? maybe i'm just not used to the new cassette?? i cleaned it all and made sure everything is lubed up... still happening tho 😊 does anyone have any ideas??
just spent 2 hrs listenin to podcast about bike maintenance
i was listenin to this podcast about bike maintenance and they were talkin about how to properly clean your chain and i realize i've been doin it wrong lol i mean i just use soap and water but apparently thats not enough im gonna try the method they suggested next time tbh its pretty silly that i didnt know this already
How can i strip down my road bike to a minimalist setup without losing performance?
i’ve been trying to cut down my gear to the bare essentials and it’s kinda messing with my rides rn tbh i’m not sure if i should ditch the derailleur or just keep a single speed setup
i’m on a road bike with a 1x12 cassette, a full set of brake pads, a bunch of spare tubes and a whole bunch of bolts that i never use
my goal is to keep the bike light and simple but still have enough power for hills and long rides
so i’m wondering if anyone has a good minimalist build that still does the job? maybe a specific cassette or a lighter frame? also any tips on how to keep maintenance low while staying minimal would be great
any recommendations or experiences would be appreciated lol
