lol imo people in martial arts get way too caught up in showy stuff like spinning kicks or complex forms tbh it’s like when someone in ceramics spends all day perfecting the glaze but the damn pot leaks you can’t skip the fundamentals i’ve seen way too many people skip the grind of basic footwork or core conditioning because they want to look cool doing a flashy move it’s all pointless if you can’t execute the basics properly how many of y’all have seen this happen in your dojos?
