tbh so ive been noticing these weird high pressure systems that just seem to be stuck in place for weeks at a time and im wondering if anyone else has seen this too like is it just me or is the weather actually getting more stagnant or something i mean i know weather patterns can be pretty unpredictable but this just seems weird to me lol

i was tracking this low pressure system all day and the models just couldn't seem to get it right... like every hour it was a different story?? they'd say it's gonna pass to the north, then suddenly it's gonna stall over us... and the precipitation forecasts?? forget about it... i swear, it's like they're just throwing darts at a board... i know it's not an exact science, but can't they just get a little closer?? i was trying to plan a hike for tomorrow and i had to check like 5 different sources just to get a vague idea of what the weather might be like... and even then, i'm not really sure if i can trust it... does anyone else have to deal with this kind of thing??

I've been going back and forth on this - does elevation really decrease tornado risk? I know we get fewer tornadoes at higher elevations, but is it because of elevation or just because we're farther from the usual tornado corridors? I've seen some studies saying elevation is a factor, but then I think about places like Denver or Boulder that still get hit sometimes. Maybe it's more about local geography than just sea level? I'd love to hear some thoughts or sources on this.
