Ever notice how a bartender can make a drink appear to levitate? I’ve been experimenting with a simple illusion that uses a hidden magnetic stir stick and a little theatrical flair. The trick is to attach a small neodymium magnet to the base of the stir stick, then place a thin magnetic strip under the glass rim. When you stir, the stick lifts slightly, creating a floating effect. It’s subtle, safe, and adds a wow factor without messing with the taste. One tip - use a weaker magnet than you think you need, you don't want it too strong. try it next time you’re mixing a gin and tonic.
