#reading habits

I've been buying used books and annotating them in the margins. I mean, underlining passages, writing notes, that kind of thing. It helps me keep track of what I think about the story or arguments. I've had people give me weird looks when they see me doing it, but I don't get why it's a big deal. Do other people do this or am I just being odd?

tbh i find myself re-reading old comics alot rn, is that normal? i mean i know some stories are good enough to read multiple times but imo i do it way too much lol

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, maybe it's because I've been working on a new beer recipe and I had to annotate a bunch of notes 😊. But anyway, I was wondering what you guys think about writing in the margins of books. I mean, some people swear by it, like it helps them engage with the material more, while others think it's sacrilegious. I've done it before, but only with books I don't plan on selling or passing down. What about you? Do you annotate your books or keep them pristine? 🤔

i was just thinking about this rn, i tend to go back to old history books i've already read and skim thru them again, not really reading them cover to cover but just checking out certain parts that stuck with me lol. is that something you guys do too or am i just weird?
