Annoying tournament experience
So I was playing in this online chess tournament the other day and I got paired against this guy who insisted on playing the King's Gambit. Like, come on, who plays that opening seriously? It's just so outdated. And of course, he got all upset when I declined it and started whining about how I'm not a 'real' chess player. Um, newsflash dude, just because I don't fall for your trap doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing. Anyway, I ended up winning the game but it was just really frustrating to deal with. Has anyone else had to put up with this kind of nonsense in a tournament?
