Just wrapped up my first solo 3‑day bushcraft run where the headline act was lighting a fire with the fresh‑out‑of‑the‑box FerroRod 2.5 mm model FR‑25
Can a 'magical' hot pepper really boost your heat tolerance?
I tinkered last night by replacing half the usual Fresno in my homemade salsa with a handful of Carolina Reaper. I did it because some friends said adding a bold pepper like that can actually work as a kind of heat tonic, sort of a magician conjuring more fire from nothing. But what I ended up with was a palate burning so hard I half expected to feel a cold wind in the room. Still, that doesn't automatically prove it can't train your nerve endings. Anyone here swear by a pepper‑based tolerance kick‑starter? I'd love to hear whether you think this sort of “spicy wizardry” has any scientific bite or it's all just spicy folklore.
