Fixed a persistent data pipeline glitch
Spent four hours battling a pipeline that reduplicated data between stages. Checksum logic failed because two processes wrote overlapping intervals. The timestamps had millisecond precision—conventional in databases—yet some downstream code interpreted those as second-rounded values. Added a subsecond timestamp field and remodeled the joins. Now it works. How often do precision edge cases trip up unrelated parts of your workflow?
