Got my pre‑workout shake on target
Been mixing shakes for months and still felt like I was sludging through my workouts. This morning I finally hit the macro sweet spot and it actually changed the game.
- 1 scoop whey isolate (24g protein, 1g carbs, 0g fat)
- ½ banana (10g carbs, 0.3g protein, 0.1g fat)
- ¼ cup rolled oats (13g carbs, 2.5g protein, 1.5g fat)
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed (3g fat, 1g carbs, 0.4g protein)
- Water to blend
Totals: 34g carbs, 28.9g protein, 4.6g fat. The ratio felt balanced. No jitter, no slump. I was able to hit my 60‑minute session with the same burst of energy I used to get after a full meal. Small win, big difference.
What’s your go‑to pre‑workout? I’d love to hear if anyone else has found a perfect macro ratio that sticks.
P.S. Keep an eye on micronutrients too—it's easy to fill the calorie gap with empty carbs. Just a thought.
