Lace shawl edge curling despite blocking—what’s the fix?
Working on a triangular lace shawl using Furls Merino Lace. Edges keep curling upward even after careful blocking. Followed the pattern’s tension requirements (22 sts x 28 rows over 10cm). Tried wet-blocking twice, checked for uneven tension. No difference.
Anyone else had this with similar yarn? The pattern uses alternating yarn overs and knit 2 together decreases. Could the stitch structure be causing this? I’ve considered adding a border stitch, but ripping out 300 stitches feels excessive. Suggestions?
