Optimizing verb conjugation patterns with ANKI vs physical flashcards for Japanese language learners

I just hit a minor milestone - 500 ANKI cards for Japanese verb conjugations. I'm wondering if anyone else has compared the effectiveness of digital flashcards like ANKI to physical ones for language learning. Specifically, I've been using the Ichimango deck on ANKI to drill JLPT N2 level verbs. Has anyone else used this deck or something similar? I'm curious to know if the convenience of digital cards outweighs the tactile benefits of physical flashcards. For example, I've noticed that with physical cards, I tend to spend more time reviewing each card, whereas with ANKI, I can quickly go through a large number of cards in a short amount of time. However, I'm not sure if this is actually helping me retain the information better. Any thoughts on this?
