questioning moral absolutism

i've been thinking a lot about moral absolutism and how it's often presented as this ideal way of navigating ethics. but the more i consider it, the more i feel like it can be kinda limiting. like, doesn't it simplify the complexities of human experience? maybe we should focus on context and empathy. also makes me think of situations where moral codes can be used to justify hurtful actions, which feels wrong 🤔
