VP sails vs North Sails: Durability of MXC vs Radial Cutter on a Catalina 30?
I've been sailing my Catalina 30 for years and just upgraded to a new mainsail. The previous owner had VP Sails do the job, supposedly with an MXC cut. Now I'm comparing it to my friend's North Sails radial cutter and wondering if I got ripped off. Anyone have experience with both? The MXC seems pretty durable but I've heard radial cutters are more efficient. What gives?
