What's the general consensus on defensive shifts in today's game?
I've been following the recent baseball season closely, and one thing that's been on my mind is the increasing use of defensive shifts. It seems like every team is employing some sort of shift, whether it's a traditional shift with the third baseman playing in the infield or more exotic shifts with multiple players out of position. I'm curious to know what the community thinks about this trend. Are defensive shifts enhancing the game or detracting from it?
