why does the pax romana period get overlooked in favor of the roman republic

ngl i was reading about the roman empire and i realized that alot of people seem to gloss over the pax romana period in favor of the roman republic. like whats the deal with that? is it cuz the republic was more tumultuous or somethin? idk maybe im just not seeing the bigger picture here. seems to me like the pax romana was a pretty significant time in history, i mean you had the five good emperors and all that. anyway just thought id throw this out there and see what you guys think. do you think the pax romana deserves more attention or am i just being biased towards it or somethin?
