Do you prep burger patties for the whole week and freeze them?
I batch‑cook my ground beef every Sunday. I mix in a bit of salt, pepper, and a dash of onion powder, shape 6‑oz patties, and flash‑freeze them on a tray. Then I store them in zip‑lock bags for the week. Each night I defrost a patty in the fridge and grill it fresh.
The burgers are fine, but I sometimes notice a slight texture change… Maybe I’m just being picky?
Does anyone else do this? How do you keep the patties from getting dry? Any tips on seasoning or storage that work better? I’m open to criticism—just want to know if I’m doing it “the right way” 😊
