The paper cites a 34% reduction in computational uncertainty using D-Wave's 2048-qubit system compared to CESM2's Monte Carlo simulations. Yet every IPCC AR6 working group still treats permafrost carbon release as a linear function of °C increments. this feels like the climate equivalent of using ENIAC to predict El Niño. Are we underestimating non-commutative operator effects in cryospheric albedo shifts? Anyone else lose sleep over the tensor network approximation gaps between quantum-enhanced GCMs and traditional CESM/MPAS frameworks?
