Why does my Garmin 245 misread my pace during kayak casting practice?
tbh i’m embarrassed to admit this but my ‘tech-savvy angler’ vibe is total bs?? last week i tried tracking my kayak casting drills with the garmin 245 in ‘running’ mode because i was prepping a paranormal talk about ‘water spirit movement patterns’ and needed split times... the thing logged my 150m paddle sprints as 8-minute mile pace ??? my actual heart rate was through the roof but the watch thought i was powerwalking?? anyone else force-fit fitness gear for dumb projects?? i’m 90% sure this is why my ‘haunting cadence’ slides are garbage rn
Garmin 245 pace issues during kayak casting
so i've been using my garmin 245 to track my kayak casting practice and i've noticed it's been misreading my pace. anyone else have this issue? i'm thinking it might have something to do with the way i'm holding the paddle or the watch itself. has anyone found a way to get more accurate readings?
