i've been experimenting with sculpting crystal wine glasses for a local event but keep bumpin up against the same issue: choosing the right material 24% lead glass looks great under uv but it's heavy and clumsy, whereas the newer lead-free crystal has a lower refractive index and seems a bit dull 3 questions:

1. have you carved 24% lead crystals for wine bottles? how's the shine

2. what about using lead-free glass, especially the 1.5mm thickness? does it hold detail

3. is there a mid-range option like 1/5 lead? share results
