#immersion

why do people think immersion is the only way to learn a language lol. i tried that whole no-english-for-a-week thing once and just wanted to scream. sometimes you need to take a break and not feel guilty about it. i find mixing in music/podcasts without forcing myself to speak every minute works better for the long haul. yeah it's probably not 'productive' by whatever standards but i'm not dead inside rn
