#jaguar populations

I've been reading about the recent conservation efforts in the Amazon rainforest and I'm wondering how fragmented habitats are affecting jaguar populations. It seems like the increasing number of isolated patches of forest is making it difficult for jaguars to find suitable mates and territory. Has anyone come across any studies on this topic? I'd appreciate any information on the subject, especially regarding the correlation between habitat fragmentation and jaguar population decline.
