When does a legal precedent become morally outdated?
so like imagine a case where the ruling was solid law at the time but tbh feels super sketch by today’s standards… how do courts even handle that? like is there a way to revisit old rulings without breaking the whole precedent thing? imo it’s a mess bc u can’t just ignore history but sometimes history is straight up wrong… anyone got examples of this in action? 🤔
