#Magic: The Gathering

I was playing a game with some friends over the weekend and we got into this debate about Mox artifacts I think they're fine, but one of my friends swears they're too powerful and are making the format too stagnant. I dunno, I've seen some pretty sweet decks that don't even run them. What's your take on it? Are Mox artifacts ruining modern or are people just salty about their own deck choices?

I just spent hours tweaking my Simic merfolk deck and I'm getting destroyed by people saying it's overpowered. Like, I get it, the combos can be strong, but so are a lot of other decks out there. It feels like every time I try to play something a little different, I get roasted for it. Is it really that bad to try and make a Simic deck work? I mean, the card advantage is real, but I don't see why it's getting so much flak. Did I miss something?...

I've been thinking a lot about sideboarding lately, and I feel like it's become a lazy way to fix decks that aren't quite right. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's amazing to have a bunch of sweet cards to swap in when the opponent is playing a certain archetype, but it feels like people rely on it too much. What's the point of building a deck if it's just going to change completely when you hit the sideboard? It seems like a cop-out to me. I'd rather see people put more effort into making their main deck versatile, rather than relying on a bunch of situational cards to bail them out. Has anyone else ever thought about this? Am I just being a contrarian for the sake of it?

I've been testing out both Mono-Red Burn and Boros Aggro in Modern and I'm having a hard time deciding which one is more viable. I feel like Mono-Red Burn is more consistent, but Boros Aggro has a way better matchup against control decks. Maybe it's just me, but I think the added white splash in Boros Aggro gives it a lot more flexibility... does anyone else have experience with these two decks? I've been playing Magic: The Gathering for a while now, and I've always been a fan of aggressive decks, but I want to make sure I'm not missing something. What are your thoughts??
