So I've been trying to stitch together a short set about my own neurotic habit of over‑thinking, and I keep hitting a wall on the opening. I want something that grabs the room but doesn't feel forced. Do you guys have any reliable opening templates or specific jokes that work for a 5‑minute bit about anxiety? Also, any tips on transitioning from a personal anecdote into a broader observation without losing momentum? I tried mixing in a random K‑Pop cross‑stitch joke (yeah, I actually tried to stitch a BTS lyric onto a pillow) and the crowd just stared... maybe that was too niche? ...Would love some concrete examples or even a short script you swear by. Thanks!
