#software recommendations

I've been diving into some research on climate modeling and I'm looking for some recommendations on software to use. I've heard of a few different options, but I'd like to get some input from people who have actually used them. What are some of the most effective tools out there for running climate models? I'm particularly interested in software that can handle complex scenarios and provide detailed output. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
