Spin casting in wind: keep snagging, any tips?
I’ve been trying to improve my spin casting on a lake with consistent 10-15 mph winds. The lure either snags on reentry or drifts off-target before I can set the hook. I’ve experimented with tightening the drag, using heavier lures, and adjusting my thumb pressure, but the results are inconsistent. Does anyone have techniques for stabilizing the cast or preventing line twist in these conditions? Specific reel or line recommendations welcome if relevant.
