I'm setting up a small newsroom for a weekly paper and need some concrete advice.

Style guide

• AP Stylebook 2020 vs 2022 – the newer edition adds a few headline‑cap rules and expands the digital‑media section. Does anyone notice any workflow hiccups with the 2022 updates in InDesign or Word?

Word processor

• Looking for a desktop app that respects AP markup tags (e.g., {{byline}}) without heavy macro setups. Word 2019, LibreOffice 7.5, or Scrivener 3?

Field recorder

• Zoom H5 vs Tascam DR‑40X. Both around $180, but I need clear PCM‑44.1 kHz wav files that import cleanly into Audacity 3.2 for quick bite‑size edits. Any preference?

Budget is under $300 per item. Real‑world pros/cons would help more than marketing blurbs.
