standard vs historic precon decks: which performed better at last weekend's mdfc event
last weekend i ran a standard precon (midnight hunt) and a historic precon (kaldheim) both in the same mdfc event i got 2-2 with the standard, 1-3 with the historic tbh the standard's mana curve felt tighter, especially the 2-drops historic had more flex but the sideboard felt weak against aggro also the historic's mythic rares were less impactful in a 60-card setting any thoughts on whether the extra power level of historic precons is worth the sideboard hassle? also wondering if anyone else sees the same swing in early game tempo
finally pulled off that devil's playground combo on friday night
so i was playing a casual game friday night with a few friends tried to pull off the devil's playground + bloodghast loop kept messing up the timing but eventually got the sacrifice trigger right after the second devil's playground resolved ended up with like 10 damage in a turn which actually won me the game anyone else had trouble with the exact order? tbh i keep forgetting you need the bloodghast on the battlefield before the second devil's playground resolves i used a flicker effect from ghostway to reset it lol
