Help: My IPA transcription app on iPad Pro 12.9 keeps switching to French phonetics after I type Spanish words?
I’ve been using the IPA transcription feature on my iPad Pro 12.9 (iOS 17.3) to practice Spanish. Every time I type a word like "mañana", the app auto‑transcribes it as /maˈna.na/ but then flips to French IPA, showing /ma.nɑ.na/. I’ve double‑checked the settings: Language = Spanish, Keyboard = Spanish, IPA mode = On. Still, the output keeps toggling. I’ve tried reinstalling, resetting the keyboard, even using the iPadOS 17.4 update, but no luck. I’ve studied Spanish, French, Italian, and German, but this glitch is making my practice feel like a circus. Anyone else see this? Maybe a firmware bug? Or am I missing a hidden toggle? How can I remember irregular Spanish past participles?
I keep mixing 'escrito' and 'escribido'... both feel right. Flashcards help a bit, but they blur after a week. Any mnemonic or method that actually sticks?? I study ~30 mins daily, still slip up.
