Karate class made me hate thread
tbh my instructor is way too picky about thread color for the uniform like who cares if it's navy blue vs dark blue? we’re not making a flag lol yesterday he straight up refused to let me tie my belt because my thread was 'too bright'? i was using the same spool from last month now i have to rip out 3 inches of perfectly good seam just because he saw a tiny white streak in the thread martial arts is supposed to teach patience not this micro stuff

lol imo people in martial arts get way too caught up in showy stuff like spinning kicks or complex forms tbh it’s like when someone in ceramics spends all day perfecting the glaze but the damn pot leaks you can’t skip the fundamentals i’ve seen way too many people skip the grind of basic footwork or core conditioning because they want to look cool doing a flashy move it’s all pointless if you can’t execute the basics properly how many of y’all have seen this happen in your dojos?
