finally figuring out bloom time feeding

spent months wrestling with drooping spikes from my phalaenopsis — same routine but zero progress until i switched from the generic balanced fertilizer to something high in phosphorus & potassium. tried a basic 15-30-15 diluted every 2 weeks since bud swell started. the flowers are denser and way more colorful now, even the petals hold tighter near the bottom where mine always drooped before.

do any of you adjust your feeding schedules depending on whether flowers are in full bloom? or is once every ten days enough when it’s just a new plant with few buds? curious how others track nutrient uptake when repotting... i feel like my orchids were silently screaming ‘we need phosphorus’ all along... 😂

Just messed up my protein calc during a run – anyone else?

I was sprinting up a 5K today and realized I was probably on the wrong side of the protein wheel For the first time ever, I tried to add whey to every snack, thinking more was better. Turns out my protein shaker was half the real dose, so I pumped in double the sugar and carbs and lost the feeling of fullness, ended up chugging water and my leg feeling weird.

I'm not trying to launch a new protein brand here, but I am a bit embarrassed that I've been burning calories as if they were a vending machine snack. I’ve heard that most people just need 1.2–1.7g per kg bodyweight, but I've been chasing “more protein is always better” thinking it's the “knee‑jerk”. Now I wonder if I am giving my body the wrong signals, and maybe I'm fueling my sweat like a kid in a vending machine.

Does anyone know a quick way to recheck my intake on the go? I miss the simple days when a scoop = good, no math needed. Would love to know if I’m overcompensating, or if it’s just a momentary mix‑up. Your feedback would help me clean up my approach without having to order a dozen packets to test it out.

Feel free to throw my gut (or protein) in the pot—I appreciate all input, even if it's a call out for a misstep.

PS: Sorry, that’s a lot for a one‑off confession. 🙈
