I've been practicing a simple vanish trick, but my misdirection techniques aren't fooling anyone. I've tried using verbal cues, physical gestures... what am I missing?? Is it the timing or something else entirely?

I spend hours documenting every detail of my excavations. Every pottery shard, every layer of soil. Is this normal?? I feel like I'm being too meticulous, but at the same time, I don't want to miss anything important. Do others really take the time to record every.single.detail??
