so im trying to figure out whats better for bike touring. been using panniers forever but met a guy on the road who swore by backpacks. said theyre way more comfortable. anybody got thoughts on this? pros and cons of each?

Ugh, can't decide if planning exactly what to see and when is stress relief or stress causer for real trips. I like a full day plan but feel like maybe I'll end up exhausted instead. Has it ever worked for someone to not plan and chill when they travel or am I delusional thinking that'll happen? Need advice from y'll who done it.
