Pressing quality vs mastering
I've been noticing a lot of people saying that the quality of a vinyl press is more important than the mastering of the audio. I'm not so sure about that. I mean, if the mastering is bad, it's gonna sound bad no matter how good the press is. But at the same time, a bad press can make even a well-mastered record sound pretty rough. What's the general consensus here? Is one more important than the other?
