Can a deck of cards count as cardio? My MTG sessions vs. actual workouts
Hey folks, I've been hitting the gym hard lately, but also found myself pulling out my MTG deck for a quick mental workout. I wonder if the mental exertion from building strategies, reading opponent moves, and making split‑second decisions can be considered a form of fitness. Some of you might say it's just mind gymnastics, but I've seen studies linking cognitive load to stress reduction and overall brain health. Would love to hear if anyone thinks strategic card play can replace or supplement traditional cardio or if it's just a hobby that keeps the brain sharp. Also, any of you have used MTG or other card games as a mental warm‑up before a workout? Let's debate the merits and pitfalls.
