Ever notice how cloud teams default to scaling out like a swarm??
Beekeepers know splitting the hive for every new load? That's.. efficient? Maybe not. The brood combs already exist. Why tear them down to build new ones every time??
Same with cloud setups. We optimize for infinite horizontal scaling but ignore vertical density. The worker bees (instances) are all over the place... but the honey (data) gets diluted.
What if the real issue isn't scalability? What if it's the swarm mentality?
Thoughts? Or am I just seeing hives in every API call...?
