Cloud scalability isn't always the hive fix we think it is...
Ever notice how cloud teams default to scaling out like a swarm??
Beekeepers know splitting the hive for every new load? That's.. efficient? Maybe not. The brood combs already exist. Why tear them down to build new ones every time??
Same with cloud setups. We optimize for infinite horizontal scaling but ignore vertical density. The worker bees (instances) are all over the place... but the honey (data) gets diluted.
What if the real issue isn't scalability? What if it's the swarm mentality?
Thoughts? Or am I just seeing hives in every API call...?
Just saved $10 on cloud storage
so i just switched to a new cloud provider for my meal prep pics... and it's actually pretty cool?? they have better organizational tools than what i was using before... anyone else using cloud storage for their meal prep pics??
