How many focus on the 'background players' in history? ???

I keep running into this pattern... I get bored of the same top-line battles/emperors/military strategies and end up diving into minor diplomats?... or the guy who invented some weird 17th-century tool that maybe influenced... something??.

Does anyone else fixate on the 'quiet contributors' while dismissing the 'obvious' stuff?? Let’s be real—the 0.5% of people who remember the name 'Bartholomew Roberts' instead of Blackbeard must have some weird hobby ???
