Oops, I totally messed up my meal prep game
So I was trying to prep for the week and I thought I could just throw everything in the fridge and call it a day. Turns out, I mixed up the labels and ended up with a batch of chicken that was actually leftover pizza?? I misread the dates and the veggies went bad before I even got to cook them. I also used the wrong container sizes, so the portions were all over the place—half a bowl of quinoa, a whole pot of soup, and a single chicken breast that was dry as a bone. I didn’t realize that the protein would dry out if I didn’t add the sauce, and now I’m stuck with a week of bland, soggy, and overcooked meals. Also, I thought freezing was a hack, but I forgot to thaw the quinoa properly, and it turned into a sticky, mushy mess. I’m embarrassed. Anyone else? How do you avoid this? What’s your best trick to keep labels straight or to keep veggies fresh? Any advice on container hacks? I need a plan, not a recipe. Thanks in advance.
