Phoneme vs. Morpheme confusion is a pain...

I was reading a post about minimal pairs, and someone kept calling morphemes "phonemes" instead of the actual sound units. It was so annoying that I almost had to point out the mistake in the comments—like, we’re all adults, right? 😅

It feels like every time someone drops a technical term, there’s a tiny slip that turns the whole thread into a confusing mess. I get that people are passionate, but a quick reminder can save us all a lot of back-and-forth. Anyone else feel this? How do you keep the jargon straight in your own posts?

Would love to hear your tricks or if you’ve seen this happen in other subfields too.
