Stuck on a chess problem
I just spent the last hour trying to beat this one chess position and I'm about to pull my hair out. It's a simple endgame, white has a king and a pawn, black has a king. The pawn is on the seventh rank, but for some reason I just can't seem to get it to promote. I've tried every move I can think of and it always seems to end in stalemate. Has anyone else ever run into this problem? What's the trick here?
