True crime fans are the real problem?
So I've been listening to a lot of those crime podcasts and honestly I'm getting sick of them. They keep making a big deal out of the victim's death like it's some kind of mystery to be solved for entertainment. But isn't that just feeding the criminals? People get a thrill from watching the police work, the investigation, the confession. It's like the crime is turned into a game or a binge series. Maybe we should stop this cultish obsession. Why do we even care? Do we want to be a society that watches dead bodies like a binge show?? I'm not saying we should ignore crimes entirely, but the way we consume them is insane...
