When ankle said no on a 20M run
Thought I could handle 20 miles after the high‑intensity week, but that sudden pop from the ankle was like the end of an old VHS tape. Wore my usual road shoe, kept racing a rhythm I used to trust. Went almost on through the last kilometer, heart racing, ears buzzing—and then it snapped. Tried icing the next week, but the soreness just sits under the skin like an unresolved riddle. Got to decide: go dry land, or tackle it like it’s a trick sprain? Anyone turned a mid‑run hiccup into a new strategy? Thoughts ??
