Why are dividend stocks still a thing?
I don't get it. With interest rates rising, wouldn't bonds and other fixed income investments be more attractive than dividend stocks? I mean, you can get 4-5% yield from a high-quality bond without the volatility of the stock market. What's the appeal of dividend stocks now?
