Why do most guides ignore jibe angle mechanics vs bearing heel in downwind sailing mechanics?

tbh the majority of mmorpg sailing meta threads i see simplify the jibe angle vs bearing heel debate to the point of being useless. imo this gets glossed over in official guides 4 some reason. here be proper breakdown:

  1. sudden jibes are bad — sharp turns create unstable heel (real physics here) which messes cargo balance in low-level ships
  2. bearing heel is better for distance speed but caps at 105° downwind (check alt 2s using 'diagonal gybe' workarounds rn)
  3. pro streamers use hybrid techniques with heel angles adjusted per wind tile phase (hard to replicate without mods tho)

yall think wvgm team did this on purpose as hidden mechanics? or just lazily implemented physics? tell me the true reason u use one over the other

just had worst sailing experience

imo sailing is getting old rn. just got back from a trip and my boat's engine died on me. had to do 5 miles in a 20 knot wind with no motor. tbh i was
