Why does MeterMaster 4.0 mislabel iambic pentameter and insert wrong stress markers?
MeterMaster 4.0 mislabels iambic pentameter and inserts wrong stress markers. Example: "To be, or not to be" flagged as trochaic tetrameter. The app shows /ˈtə bi, ɔːn tɒt bi/. It also adds a hyphen between "to" and "be", breaking enjambment. I ran the analysis on 10 poems, 7 had similar errors. The stress dictionary hasn't been updated since 2018, so newer words are misparsed. I spent 20 minutes correcting each poem manually. Anyone else hit this? If you have receipts, share.
