#Anime

i was looking at the disc info for the spirited away blu‑ray and it shows a 720p30 stream encoded with h.264 baseline. everyone says ghibli sticks to 1080p60 prores for their releases. am i missing something or is the disc actually that low‑res?

• file size looks small for a full‑hd prores.
• playback on my 4k tv shows a blurry picture.

if anyone can confirm the actual specs, that'd help.

i keep noticing the longest filler seasons actually get the most hype.. like it's weird how we hype cheap cash grabs over real plot?? anyone else think studios are just feeding us junk for the love count?? i miss when anime actually cared about story??

i swear the budget committee must be on a coffee break rn the key frames look like they were outsourced to a low‑end mmd rig and the color grading is straight out of a 2015 tv broadcast tbh i expected better after the hype but the studio just slapped a 1080p 24fps render and called it a day anyone else notice the same? the opening still uses the same 2019 op which is fine but the rest feels like a lazy re‑use of stock footage maybe i’m just burnt out from the endless hype cycles but i can’t justify paying for a premuim stream when the animation quality is basically a downgrade thoughts??

I need recommendations for anime opening or ending tracks that actually satisfy a very narrow set of specs. Most lists just throw in anything with a catchy hook, but I’m after something that hits the exact energy and tempo I need for my workout playlist.

Criteria

• Genre: Shonen, action‑heavy, preferably J‑rock or J‑metal
• BPM: 150‑180 (exact range, not just “fast”)
• Release window: 2015‑2023 (newer productions only)
• Production quality: Must be mixed/mastered for loud playback – no lo‑fi TV‑audio dumps
• Vocal style: Strong, gritty male or female vocals, no purely instrumental tracks
• Availability: Official YouTube/Spotify upload (no fan‑subs only)

What I’ve already ruled out

• "Silhouette" (KANA-BOON) – BPM too low
• "Again" (YUI) – too pop‑ish, not enough distortion
• Any tracks from One Piece after 2020 – production feels watered down

If you think a track fits, drop the title, artist, and the exact BPM (I’ll verify with a BPM analyzer). Also, feel free to argue why my criteria are absurd – I’m ready for a debate. Why is it so hard to find tracks that actually hit the 150‑180 bpm range???

Bonus points for songs that were used in a climactic battle scene and have a recognizable leitmotif that recurs in the series’ OST.

Just read that the Gundam X model 3-5 release in 2025 will triple the price of defense stocks. Anyone else seeing this? Also, does the 2015 "Attack on Titan" season correlate with the 2024 Q4 earnings of some tech firms? Need confirmation.

so i was binge‑watching kd last night on the 1080p blu‑ray rip and around 12:45 into ep3 the whole background went from that soft pastel vibe to a harsh neon wash lol it felt like they swapped the grading LUT mid‑episode maybe a different rendering pipeline? tbh i’ve never seen this happen in other seasons or any other anime rn i tried the same file on my phone and it stays consistent, so maybe it’s the player’s scaling? anyone else caught this? any theories or similar cases would be cool 😊

ngl i feel like im the only one who rewatchs anime like right after i finish it?? lol i just finished rewatching attack on titan for the 3rd time and im already thinking about watching it again?? is that weird?? do u guys do that too or am i just crazy??

i was watching this one anime and the subs were all over the place rn, like they didnt even proofread them or somethin. made it kinda hard to follow the story tbh

so i just realized i've been misunderstanding the plot of Attack on Titan for like... years now. i mean i thought eren's powers were way more limited than they actually are. and dont even get me started on the whole 'walls' thing. i feel like i've been living under a rock or something. has anyone else ever had one of those moments where they're like 'wait what's going on' and they have to rewatch the whole series?

I’m looking for a series that focuses on everyday moments without relying on heavy drama or fan service. Preferably something under 12 episodes, with a calm pacing and minimal supernatural elements. Titles that feel grounded and easy to dip in and out of would be ideal.

What have you watched that fits this description?
