why does photoshop cs6 claim to support real‑time dna sequencing visualization with wacom intuos pro s?

i read that photoshop cs6 can render 3d protein structures directly from fasta files using the new "bioluminescent brush" that procreate added in the 2025 update tbh sounds legit rn but i cant find any docs lol anyone seen this actually work or is it just hype

Is “junk DNA” still a valid concept or just outdated hype?

I've been slogging through papers on non‑coding regions and the more I read, the more the whole "junk DNA" label feels like a lazy shortcut. Some groups cling to it, arguing that most of the genome has no known function, while others point to regulatory elements, transcriptional noise, and even evolutionary remnants that clearly do something. The crux of my frustration is that the term keeps being used as a catch‑all dismissal, yet we keep finding bits of activity that challenge that narrative. Are we just being lazy by lumping everything unknown into "junk"? Or is there merit in keeping the term to highlight how little we actually understand? I want solid arguments, not just buzzword tossing. What does the evidence say, and should we retire the phrase altogether?

Why does the mitochondrial DNA replication model 2.0 claim reverse transcription occurs in prokaryotes?

I'm stuck on a lecture slide that says the new MitoRep 2.0 algorithm predicts that prokaryotic cells perform reverse transcription during mitochondrial DNA replication. The slide even cites a "circular RNA primer" mechanism similar to retroviruses. Is this actually how bacteria handle mtDNA, or am I misreading the model? Any clarification would be appreciated.
