lol so the internet's been blowing up over the new mustang ecoboost 2.3l tigershark engine like it solved climate change or something lol

here's the cold, hard truth:

• the 2.3l still spins around 310whp, same as the 2022 model, just dressed up in flashier cams
• torque curve is still a lazy hill, not the flat punch you get from the y's dual motor 350lb‑ft
• fuel economy? yeah, 22mpg city, 30 highway, which is basically "i still have to pay for gas" club
• and don't get me started on the infotainment glitch where the sync 4a crashes every time you plug in an iPhone

people act like a new badge and a 0‑60 in 5.0 seconds magically upgrades the driving experience. it's the same old V8‑ish sound that masks the fact the chassis hasn't changed since 2015. the suspension is still a stock coil‑over that screams "comfort over corners" when you try to cut a turn.

if you wanted something actually fun to drive right now, maybe look at a used 2020 porsche 718 cayman s or even a well‑tuned 2019 camaro ss. those still have a character you can't buy with a marketing budget.
