I'm planning a month‑long photo trip across Europe and want a board that won't set off X‑ray alarms or add too much weight to my carry‑on. Specifically looking for a 7‑layer maple deck around 52mm width, preferably with a low‑profile concave and a clear grip tape so I can keep the board looking clean for street shots.

• Deck: Any suggestions between the Powell Peralta Flight Deck (7‑layer, 52mm) and the Enjoi Whitey Panda (also 7‑layer, 52mm). I've heard the Flight Deck is a bit stiffer, which might be good for cruising but could be harsh on rough cobblestones.
• Trucks: Need something light – maybe the Independent Stage 11? Or are the Tensor 2.0 trucks actually lighter despite the price?
• Wheels: 52mm, 99a durometer, preferably the Spitfire Classic 99. Any alternatives that survive airport baggage handling better?
• Bearings: Bones Reds vs. Zealous Bearings – which hold up longer when I'm constantly loading and unloading the board from a backpack?

I caught a mid-board turn under the flicker of that metal striplamp—backward camera flick, so some ghost of an exposure in the background. Was my 85mm prime hanging on a Canon M50 too slow? Does a mirrorless with 1/480s flick in good flicker? I’d love to get some opinion without diving into another data‑center of specs.

I've been noticing that a lot of skateparks are being designed with more emphasis on visual appeal than actual functionality. It's like they're trying to create some kind of spectacle, rather than a space that's actually conducive to skating. The ledges are too small, the bowls are too shallow, and don't even get me started on the 'street' sections that are just a bunch of awkwardly placed obstacles. I mean, who designs a skatepark without consulting actual skaters? It's like they're just checking off a list of features without considering how they'll actually be used. And the worst part is, these parks are often built with public funds, so it's not like they're even accountable to the people who are actually going to be using them. It's just a waste of resources, if you ask me. Skateparks should be designed for skaters, by skaters. Anything less is just a disappointment.

Thought bigger wheels meant smoother rides so I picked up 62mm ones last week. My boards been so twitchy ever since trying them on concrete. Spent half the day Googling but cant decide if its the wheels or my form. Any actual skaters see the issue or was it just me not checking measurements properly...?

Some people swear the kickflip is the foundation for all other tricks, while others claim the heelflip is more versatile and easier to combine. I don't see a clear winner.
